Formats

Collection resources needed include a wide range of material types.

  • books, reference publications (including dictionaries, encyclopaedias, atlases, almanacs, handbooks & manuals), serials,

  • CDROMs, online databases, Internet resources (especially lists of suitable Indonesian language site lists). Access to multiple sessions of the Internet (at a sustainable cost) is needed as soon as possible,

  • pamphlets and reports, government publications,

  • audiovisual materials (videos, CVDs, DVDs, CDs, cassette tapes), multimedia kits, photographic and other graphic materials, maps,

  • bibliographic materials, curriculum materials, theses and specialist teaching resources; class sets and teaching aids to assist teaching staff and trainee teachers.

  • microform materials.

Specialist Equipment

Appropriate facilities, equipment and software will be needed to access the library’s range of information resources.

The proposed Multimedia Centre will have multiple PC access to the Internet, online databases and CDROMs. IT equipment to support this service is needed.

Other equipment needed includes photocopiers, TV monitors, video, cassette, CD, CDV and DVD players (with copying capacity), and a microfilm/fiche reader/printer.
